Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember. This is designed to support your factory hangers on your trailer. You'll have hangers if you have a tandem-axle trailer. You'll have six hangers, three on each side, and they're attaching your leaf springs to the trailer. So you have one on the back holding the leaf spring, one in the middle holding the equalizer, and one at the front holding the other end of your leaf spring. more

MORryde X-Factor Crossmember Installation - 2020 Grand Design Momentum 5W Toy Hauler- Video
Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember on our 2020 Grand Design Momentum. This system is designed to attach on the inside of both of your hangers on the back of your trailer where your leaf spring attaches, and basically what it's designed to do is it will stiffen that hanger so that when you're driving down the road, you don't have any flex in that hanger. We've actually seen the hangers come in and they're bent, or some people have even had 'em fail. So by stiffening that, you're making your ride a lot safer. These cross braces are designed to span from 61 inches all the way up to 79 1/2 inches. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer. And today I'll be showing you how to replace the touch pad on your Lippert Ground Control leveling system here on your 2019 Grand Design Reflection fifth wheel trailer. Have you been experiencing some issues with your ground control touch pad Maybe your buttons aren't working, which is pretty much the most common cause here on our touch pad issues is just after a while the sensors on the inside of our computer chip here kinda just wear out over time and then just doesn't really want to activate. So, the replacement touch pad is gonna be these only solution that you can really go with, it's just gonna completely replace your whole pad since there is not a way to just replace the buttons themselves. Here's what your replacement Lippert touch pad is going to look like once it's fully installed just like with your original one it is going to allow you to manually adjust your jacks, or auto level all of your jacks. And you can also set it to know exactly what height you need to be at when you're trying to hook up your truck. more

Hey guys, Kevin here at etrailer. And today I'm going to be showing you how to install the JR Products Double Rocker Switch here on our 2022 Grand Design Imagine travel trailer. So our neighbor originally only had a single Rocker Switch in here that was just controlling the lights that he has in the ceiling. He wanted to be able to put a new powered vent into this room here, where he used to have just a non-powered vent. So we had to run a extra switch, that way he could keep the fan on without the lights having to be on. If we had only run it to the switch that we had before with just the lights on it, he would have to have the lights on to also power his vent. more

Hi there, Grand Design owners. Today, on your 2015 Grand Design Reflection, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Furrion's single zone AC controller for the Chill rooftop AC units from Furrion. We're gonna be installing this with an entire system to get it installed. But this part is available separately, so if you do already have an existing Furrion Chill system, and you've got some issues going on with your control box, you can go ahead and get that swapped out too. The installation is gonna be the same regardless. We're gonna cover some additional wires for some features that we're not installing here, but we do discuss those, so if you've got those on yours, you can get those hooked up too. more

Hi there Grand Design owners. To hang your 2015 Grand Design reflection, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Furrion's single zone thermostat. In addition to this, we installed an entire AC system onto Grand Design here. We use Furrion's air distribution box and Furrion's chill AC rooftop unit. You will need a thermostat to operate your system. So we're using one from Furrion here. more

Hi there Grand Design owners, today in your 2015 Grand Design Reflection, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install Furrion's, air distribution box for the chill rooftop units. We're installing this distribution box here with an entire AC system that we're installing, in addition to that, we're using Furrion's Chill Rooftop Unit, and Furrion's Single Zone Thermostat. Now the air distribution box here is sold separately, so if you've already got a Furrion Chill System, and maybe one of the kids whacked your unit here and caused some damage to it, you can just replace just the distribution box here. This AC unit is a 14,500 BTU unit, which is gonna be more than enough for the room that we've got in our trailer, and we've also tied into the rooftop vents, and it should be enough to cool the entirety of our trailer here, now there is a second unit that is installed on this trailer. So what this is gonna really do for us is we're gonna be able to ensure that all those ridiculously hot days, we can maintain comfortable temperatures inside, and on those days where we we're out hanging out and we haven't been back to our camp site in a while, we get home and it's really hot in here and we want to cool this down fast, we've got two units on here with there collective power, we should be able to cool down the interior of this cabin very quickly so we can enjoy the temperature we want while we're relaxing. So now we're taking the temperature coming out of our vents here, and it looks like we're at right about the mid thirties, which is exactly where we want to be there in the mid thirties, that ensures that our temperature sensor that we've installed on our evaporator inside is properly reading the temperature of our evaporator, it's ensuring it doesn't get too cold to where the evaporator freezes up and it's gonna get us as close to that threshold as possible to maximize the efficiency of our system here, getting the most potential cooling, that we can out of it. more

In this kit, you're going to get everything you need to get a triple axle trailer converted over from an electric brake system to an electric over hydraulic system. You'll get all the lines necessary. We've got a 25 foot, 3/16 diameter mainline coming back. You'll also receive a six foot crossline that will connect to your lines together for your driver and passenger side. more

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit Installation - 2020 Grand Design Momentum 5W Toy Hauler- Video
Hi there trailer owners, today on your 2020 Grand Design Momentum, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Kodiak's Electric Over Hydraulic Disparate Conversion Kit. In this kit, you're going to get all the parts you need for one axle. You'll get rotors for each side, calipers for each side, and these calipers do come loaded with the pads, as well as the caliper bracket to get it mounted up. This will take your old drum assembly that used to be here, you remove the assembly and the new components will install right in its place. The rotor is designed to accept bearings inside of it. So I do recommend replacing the bearings when you put these on, as the races do come pre-installed in our rotor, which is nice for us. more

Hello solitude owners. Today in your 2017 grand design solitude, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install HydraStar electric over hydraulic brake controller adapter for Ford and Chevrolet vehicles.This adapter module will allow you to use your factory brake controller on your 2007 to 2008 Ford trucks, as well as your 2007 and newer Chevrolet trucks. It is designed to work with HydraStar electric over hydraulic brake systems, and it will adapt your factory brake controllers output signal to make it work properly with our electric over hydraulic actuator. Now, if you're looking for a place to get the module mounted up, I do recommend you put it closes to the actuator. Since it does need to connect to the brake signal circuit for the actuator, but you can't really put it anywhere you want, as long as you can make those connections.The module measures eight and a half inches by three and a half inches by one inch. Let's give you an idea of how much space you're going to need. more

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes Installation on a 2017 Grand Design Reflection Fifth Wheel- Video
Hi there trailer owners, today on your 2017 Grand Design Reflection, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's Electric Trailer Brake Kit. This is what your brake assembly is going to look like once you've got installed.Some of the features on this assembly that really stand out to me that make it better than some of the competitors is the shoes that are located on each side. They're going to be fully bonded shoes, so there're no rivets. Some of the other shoe manufacturers out there we'll place rivets that hold the friction material on. And the problem with the rivets, it does hold the pads on very nicely. But when your shoes wear down, eventually the material is going to wear it down into the rivets, which can then dig into your drum assembly and destroy the entire drum assembly with the bonded pads here, the material will wear down and it'll have to get all the way down to the metal here before that would happen. more

Shane: Hey, guys. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2018 Grand Design Momentum M-CLASS fifth wheel travel trailer. Now, I'm going to be installing the Kodiak hydraulic brake lines. These hydraulic brake lines are going to be great because they're going to be rubber-coated as opposed to the hard lines, which are going to make it a lot harder to run those lines from the front where your actuator is back to your axles. With the rubber lines, or flex lines as they call them, it's going to make it a lot easier. more

So, Mark, we're just getting an idea of what was your thought process and why you decided on switching to electric over hydraulic disc brakes. Mark: This is a Grand Design Momentum 399, the GVWR is 20,000 pounds, the dry weight is 16,000 pounds, and we roll at about just under 18,000 pounds. On two occasions the light turns from yellow to red and there was a car sitting up there and we had needed to stop. more

Hi there, travelers. Today on our 2019 Grand Design Momentum, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's trailer breakaway switch.Your breakaway switch is an essential safety device. If your trailer has trailer brakes, whether they're electronic or electric over hydraulic, you will want to have one of these installed because in the event you do have a catastrophic disconnect, the other end of the cable here is hooked to your vehicle, which will then pull our switch here and activate our trailer's brakes, helping you come to a safe stop. This is important not only for your safety, but for the safety of others around you.This breakaway switch is suitable for trailers with one to three axles. We've got ours installed on our three axle fifth wheel. Now if your trailer does have brakes but it doesn't have a battery on board, then I would recommend that you purchase the breakaway switch as a kit with the included battery. more

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit Installation - 2018 Grand Design Momentum 5W Toy Hauler- Video
Today in our 2018 grand design momentum fifth wheel toy hauler, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Kodiak disc brake kit with 13 inch hub and rotors. This is gonna be part number K2HRCM1337-9DAC, to help us with our installation. We're also going to be using your replacement trailer hub bearing part number 02475, and the replacement trailer hub bearing part number 25580, and grease seals, part number RG06-070.So here's what our brakes looks like once we have them installed. And a lot of people are upgrading from drum brakes to disc brakes on their trailer for good reason. Disc brakes are going to stop a lot smoother and perform better, even at highway speeds. Drum brakes tend to fade a little bit and not have as much biting force or slowing down to your trailer at high speeds. more
